New "traditional" Soft A/C in Eastern NC

Life 103.1, based in Southern Pines, NC; has signed on a sister station in Rocky Mount, NC. The two stations are on the same frequency and pretty well spaced so there is continuous coverage from the South Carolina border to the Virginia border.

Life 103.1 is a Soft A/C format, as I believe it was intended to be, when it morphed from Easy Listening. The new station is 6kw and it's calls are WLQC. They are online at life1031.com.

What a great format!

Life 103.1 is in Sanford, not Southern Pines. I hear it when I go to Winston-Salem for a few minutes, and it sounds good. Even better than when they were Timeless Favorites, which isn't as good as standards to me.

Southern Pines has WIOZ, which is a real standards station. By radio's definition. This still means a lot of soft AC and oldies.
