New Translator Authorized; To Rebroadcast WALK (HD2?) From Southampton

The FCC has authorized the construction of a new 250 watt translator in Southampton, which would transmit on 94.1 FM. The application indicates it will rebroadcast WALK FM. As WALK has a powerful signal that probably reaches the Southampton area just fine, perhaps the translator will actually be used for its HD2, in conformance with the rather recent trend.
Since WALK began using HD, its HD2 has been broadcasting country music. So it is possible that WJVC 96.1 will get a bit of competition on the East End.
