New trend of sports stations dumping ESPN?

Nathan Obral said:
But that flies in the face of how ESPN exists in the first place. It's not just Stephen A. Smith or Cowherd, the ENTIRE FAMILY OF ESPN NETWORKS are always about the sizzle over the steak. All "East Coast-throw bones at the West Coast," all the time, and to hell with the heartland.

Fixed (in bold). ;D

The Eastern Seaboard Partisan Network is what its parody-nickname suggests. It's all about the Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, Knicks, Celtics, Heat, Big East, & ACC. They're more fair to the entire NFL, but they still dwell more on the NFC and AFC Easts. The only bones thrown to the rest of the country are the Big Ten to the midwest, the Cowboys & Spurs to the south/southwest, and the Lakers & Dodgers to the west coast.

Bob Valvano is their best host, and he's buried in weekend overnights... just like Ben Maller is FSR's best host, and is too stuck in that same time slot.

I like Bobby V as well. I don't know why he doesn't do more.

I've always noticed more stations flipping to ESPN rather than away from.
Especially on the FM band.

Here in Denver, 102.3 The Ticket (Which used to be on 87.7) will become the new home of ESPN Radio in January 2012 (It currently resides on KEPN-AM 1600 & is secondary to Fox Sports Radio on sister KKFN-FM 104.3 who carries only live sporting events & Mike & Mike In The Morning on a delayed basis). 87.7 is now the new home of ESPN Desportes Radio

I think Colin Cowherd gets bumped on KEPN in lieu of The Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio (Unless Colin is delayed) but I'm not sure about this however (Perhaps one of the locals here in Denver can either confirm or clarify this?)

Cheers :D
