I just wanted to comment on the trends that were released on January 2nd.
First off, I can't help but wonder what on earth is going on at Magic! This is the first time I can remember seeing them this low. Is it that Magic has simply grown too stale? Are people just turning to satellite radio for music for their businesses? Maybe a combination of the two? Smooth jazz 104.1 does not seem to be having a major impact on Magic's ratings--their ratings aren't terribly great either.
Also, a very interesting development in the competition between Big I and KRST seems to have occurred. KRST's audience share has shot up significantly, making them the second highest-ranked station in Albuquerque! On the other hand, Big I's ratings have gone down significantly. Seems like KRST is stealing Big I's market share. What are they doing differently?
Feel free to comment!
