New Triangle Translator

CMG has obtained a CP to increase the power of W289BD-FM 105.7 (currently licensed to rebroadcast WKIX-F) to 250w, which will give it coverage over Raleigh, Garner, and half of Cary. Any ideas on what they'll do with it?

The FCC site lists the same thing, that it is rebroadcasting WKIX. I don't know who Liberty University is, but if Curtis is using it, they could be leasing it from them.

Liberty University is a large Christian university up in central Virginia. They have a flagship religios FM WRVL 88.3 That covers a good chunk pf South-Central VA but they have quite a few translators dotting the area. http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/finder?call=WRVL&x=0&y=0&sr=Y&s=C

Just what we need, more religious outlets crowding the dial. ::)

Liberty's Victory FM is a very well-programmed Christian format. Locally, they have two rimshot signals, WVRD 90.5/Zebulon and WVRH 94.3/Norlina. They had some more translators in the area, but they've been selling them off. Durham translator W288BU is now translating Creedmoor daytimer WDRU 1030, while their 98.5 Creedmoor translator (dark due to interference with 98.3/WLUS Clarksville) is in the proces of moving to Chapel Hill where it will become 97.9 W250BP, rebroadcasting 1360 WCHL. CMG will likely use this for one of their AMs since they don't do HD on their FMs. Funny 570 WFNL would probably be the best candidate, though 850 WPTK could use some help in NW Raleigh, Durham, etc at night due to the night nulls that way.
