K30ES channel 30 was licensed by the FCC and has finally come on the air, I think for the first time since their HTVN days in Globe around 2000 or 2001. They're still licensed to Globe, but broadcast from Usery Mountain in east Mesa, covering pretty much the city of Mesa. I can just barely pick them up from west Chandler. I'm going to call them an independent station; so far, the only thing I've seen from them is infomercials.
The downside is, K30ES is co-channel to KUAT-DT, which is Tucson's strongest DTV station. K30ES will kill any further chance of receiving that KUAT-DT.
