New TV station in QC market?

According to northpine.com, Northwest Television finally got a construction permit to build a new HDTV-only station on channel 53 from Galesburg! No word on where the transmitter will actually be, but I wonder what kind of programming will air....Will it steal the CW from KGCW? Better yet, it should be the new home for My Network TV, since it's only on a low-powered station right now. Anyway, let's hear some speculations!

Not sure about the Galesburg station, but I do want to speculate that WQPT will end up being bought and changed to a commercial station. I don't neccessarily agree with that, but I bet it happens.

Channel 24 is reserved for non-commercial operation. (as is the companion DTV channel) WQPT can't be changed to commercial operation unless they get that reservation lifted. It is VERY rare (indeed, to the best of my knowledge unheardof) for the FCC to lift a non-commercial reservation unless an alternate channel is available to which the reservation can be attached.

In the few cases where a non-commercial station *has* gone commercial, it's been operating on a non-reserved channel.

Anyway, back to channel 53....Does anyone think it will be in cahoots with another station (i.e. WBQD-LP on WQAD-DT)? I'm sure there are some programs that station could air that are not currently on other QC stations!
