For weeks I've been begging for an ID off of this station; finally got it.
540 - KYAH Delta, UT; finally heard with an ID no less, at 0659.50 PT 10/28. "This is KYAH, AM 540". Into USA Radio News. NEW #635, 1KW, 643 miles. I heard this station all the time with USA News and talk shows, but never a local ID or local ad. Just national direct-response ads and dead air during ID time.
Also heard this morning: A plethora of sunrise DX propagation!
KFAB 1110 well after 8AM their time...
KCJB 910 Minot blowing off AB and the others - their sunrise isn't until 8:24 CT!
KXMR 710 Bismarck under KIRO
KVOX 740 Fargo on the 50KW pattern, very good signal
KATQ 1070 Plentywood with older country mx
UNID 960 with "Something Bad" Miranda Lambert, maybe KFLN Baker, MT (needed)
UNID 1130 with very weak country music, under CKWX...maybe KBMR Bismarck. If so, they sound like they are 500 watts. Hardly audible compared to KCJB just north of there.
UNID 1470 with "Dance with Me" Orleans and KUTI was killing it. Either KKTY Douglas, WY or KHND Harvey, ND (Both needed from here). KHND is closer to 975 mi while KKTY is less than 800.
UNID 1370 with sounded-like-Christian music - maybe out of format mx on KWTL Grand Forks?
Last night CFZM was blowing off 740 with adult standards. Pretty amazed by that. Also heard RARE KFYR-550 Bismarck with Coast to Coast...it's always KOAC here.
