New Vocal "Summer Breeze"

Check out this jazzy updated version of "Summer Breeze" by Trammel Starks. This guy is known for writing and producing music for The Weather Channel (for the smooth jazz that played during "Weather on the 8's". In his new cd "Jet Stream", he is bringing in the vocal talents of Geoff McBride (local guy here in Santa Rosa Beach, FL just east of Destin). Geoff was featured earlier this spring as a runner-up on the show "The Voice". We just added the track and getting great feedback here at WSBZ.

I know doing covers has always been controversial in the smooth jazz format -- but this arrangement is impressive and adds a solid smooth jazz twist.

Hear the track and learn about Trammel's new cd:

I bet the people that sent the feedback have heard of Trammel Starks, thanks to the Weather Channel [back when it was good] and it's local on the 8s segment.

Trammell's TWC collection is superb, and is as relevant today as it was back in 1996 when he composed it. Always get great feedback from listeners on his cuts. Personally not a huge fan of cover tunes, but I really liked this one when I heard it. Can wait for the full.
