NEW VOICE ON WEEKENDS @ WIKY

I was listening to WIKY last week and heard a new voice on the air, I think his name was Jay Michaels..or so I think. I was trying to find out more information on-line but WIKY doesnt have weekend jock bios.

His voice sounds really familiar, anyone know what station he came from?

Liked what I heard

Yeah, his name is Jay... he's on Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon...

He's ok.. not bad...

Why do you want to know so much about him?

Neat guy... A lot of great experience in the "Movin" format.. Tight and consistant! I work with him on the weekends.. Impressive young guy (I'm old)... ;D

If I'm not mistaken, Jay Michaels is voicetracking on WIKY from his home in Louisville. Jay last did mid-days at Wither's owned WREZ 105-5 The Cat in Paducah, KY. Seemed like a nice guy. A friend of mine who works for Bristol Broadcasting got to know him after he left town. He says Jay wanted to get back to the big city life of Louisville, where he's from. Not much to do around the Atomic City, he said. Plus, Jay said that working for Wither's was one of the worst experiences in his career. I also think he's voicetracking on other stations in the Louisville area.

I must say I'm a little honored that I have my own thread on this little radio-info board, and that it's a good thread at that! HA

I don't voicetrack for WIKY, it's all live 24/7 and local, which I think is pretty awesome!

The one who started this thread asked where I've worked before, I was in Evansville last year doing weekends down the hall @ WSTO "HOT 96", before that I did weekends on KLSY "MIX 925" in Seattle and helped launch MOViN out there...

I do live in Louisville (I have some frequent "driver miles" up and down I-64 on the weekends :)), and work for a group of stations in Louisville...

It's true I did work in Paducah for Withers, but, I'm not going to speak ill of those people, let's just say it was a experience that I won't soon forget...

So hope that answers all your questions "QuackAttack" ;D Thanks for the thread.. you made my day!

Louisville to Evansville is quite a drive every weekend

Not that bad.. I can get from the east side of E'ville to L'ville in about 1:35 at normal 70 mph speed limit... ;)

Thanks for your help with this. My only wish is that they would put up the weekend bios on the website. I thought I heard you before, maybe on Lite 106.9 or DJX at one time in Louisville.

you may have heard me in Louisville, but, it wasn't at either of those stations... ;D
