new voiceover talent on hot95.7?

brlmedia said:
was listening to hot today, seems they have a new male imaging voice? anyone know who he is? sounds pretty decent..

Sounds like St. John from 99.7 Now in San Francisco. He did the imaging for Beat 104.3 in Austin back in the day too.

He also used to do imaging for the late KPTY Party 104.9. I believe he now does v/o for sister station WXRK in New York as well.

St. John has seemed to evolve from being the voice announcer for mostly rhythmic formatted stations to doing it for top 40 nowadays. He has been based in SF, so before landing at KMVQ there he did KYLD for the longest. Now that I think about it he wouldn't have been a fit for urban stations anyway, if at all.

thanks... kinda weird not hearing the other guy, who has been doing it since day one i believe.
That was Dr. Dave. IMO he is a better fit for urban or rhythmic stations than top 40.

Yes it is St. John. When he was with KYLD, he V.o.'d for many Clear Channel stations, now he id doing alot of CBS stations.

Geoff St. John I believe is his name. I think him and Dr. Dave are pretty good VOs, as well as Pat Garrett.
In my theory, when PK and Ivan worked in Portland, the station they were on used St. John, so maybe this meant a reunion between the 2, but I doubt it.
