New Voices on Metro Traffic

Have there been some recent personnel changes at
Metro Traffic? I've been hearing some new voices
but also missing others I used to hear. Eric Heenan (sp?)
is one I used to hear, but not lately. Any word on
comings and goings at Metro?

I believe Lucy Hill went to Cali to be with her son who was on his way to the Middle East. I think that was about 2-3 months or so ago. I miss the accent.

Yes, Lucy did leave for California as her son had enlisted in the US Armed Forces (I believe it was The Marines, if I remember correctly). I truly miss her taking care of my Sunday afternoon traffic. She is a very lovely lady and is sorely missed. I also miss Jacquie Murphy who left a few months prior to Lucy's departure, but Jacquie left for unfortunately different circumstances. Both a couple of top-notch professionals in my book.

A few people were laid off 3 weeks ago.

Standard operating procedure, fire people who make money, bring new people in out of college.

All a part of the WW1/ CBS Radio layoffs

Maybe I'm just out of the loop because I'm behind a desk all day listening to net radio but a few names from the past at Metro / SRS / WW1. Are they stil there, what stations are they doing or where are they now?

  • Joe Stapleton on 'BZ and Major Dick on AAF
  • John Herring on New Center 5 and 'BZ and Johnny dot com on AAF
  • Aaron Sawyer on 'BZ and Phill McKrackin on 'AAF (I know Aaron left Metro, went to Smart Routtes and then WW1 bought Smart Routes.)
  • Frankie Fox

Joe Stapleton is still a "dick" on AAF, and he's Joe Hurley on 'RKO

I hear Aaron Sawyer on 1430 AM

Frankie Foxx/Scurto is on ESPN 890

I have heard Frankie on WRKO a couple of rare times on the weekend for an hour or so. Metro must have been short handed (I guess that would be short voiced) and asked her to do RKO. I forget what name she was useing. Maybe Joanne something? I remember her with Neanderpaul on AAF as the "Traffic Tramp".

Eric Heenan got fired about 3 weeks ago,, he was a major you know what anyway

yea, the good thing about corporate purges is that some smelly garbage is removed.
this board could use one too, but beggars can't be choosers.

Also MIA is Pete Mundy from WTAG in Worcester. Any word on him?

I'm pretty sure I heard Pete Mundy on WAAF filling in for "Major Dick" during Hillman's show this past week.
