New WCVG format revealed!

Davidson in Nashville brokers WNVL 1240 to a man who does all local and live Spanish. More live talent than most of the "big" stations in town.

Spanish is growing fast. I watch in market after market how one small stations starts, grows, adds remote trucks, billboards and each Arbitron the ratings get bigger.

No one in Seattle thought Spanish would work, now there are FM's and AM's with several formats to chose from. Same thing is going on all over the country.

I hear it will be a mix of live and satellite. LMA will start in a matter of days. I'm happy for the Plessingers who struck a great deal and for WCVG. This little station will be the first full-time Spanish station in town, and it looks like Davidson believes in it because they're buying and not just LMA-ing.

I knew they were looking to sell this over 18 months again when I looked into this for a friend while doing a few things here and there for the Plessinger's in Florida.
