New Weather Personality on 3TV

Josh Deberge is joining 3TV as the weekend weather personality starting today. This is so Brittney can fill in for April while she is on maternity leave.

Josh was been a TV meteorologist in Missouri at KOMU and KSPR and most recently was spokesperson/media specialist with FEMA.
 
I, too, caught Josh DeBerge on 3TV. Is he just a temporary fill-in until April returns?

And, then, this morning Kaley is doing the weather on GMAZ. I guess Brittney is still enjoying her weeklong 30th birthday celebration. :D

And one more thing...why was Tess by herself on Sunday morning GMAZ?

Well, thank goodness that Tess can do the whole show by herself without freaking out (reference to April's reaction when neither Ryan nor Tyler showed up one Sat am) :D
 
I haven't seen Mr. DeBerge yet but I hope he stays on. 3TV Forecasters are so thin that Royal Norman did Sunday GMAZ
 
According to his linkedin profile, Josh's "day" job is Communications Manager for Make A Wish America here in the Valley. So, it appears that we won't be seeing much of Josh on weekdays, but I'm assuming he will appear on weekends (subbing for Brittney, while Brittney subs for April).

I agree that 3TV badly needs Josh to fill in while others are away -- particularly since Kaley is now the main co-anchor of GMAZ.

Of course, FOX 10 was short-handed last week. It seemed like the anchors were doing the weather on many of their newscasts.

The reason Royal did the GMAZ weekend shows was because they gave Brittney time off to celebrate her 30th birthday. I'm not sure why they did not just have Josh do the morning shows too...it's not like he's never done weather before.

(Then again, a place like KPHO has 4 weather personalities on staff and still has to occasionally call in Steve Garry to fill in.)

Brittney did the Saturday am program. Royal did the Sunday am program. As I mentioned, Josh does have a day job to consider as well. I'm assuming Make A Wish is paying him decent money and expects him to be awake on Monday morning, not fatigued from working 16 hours days on the weekend.
 
All of this hoopla of adding Josh to the team, while Kaley, the main am anchor, did the GMAZ weather two days this week. ???

April had her child and will be out for the next three months... It will get interesting.
