BIG CHANGES COMING NOV. 1!
WSDM's LAST DAY at 97.7 is Sunday, October 30, 2005. On November 1st, WSDM will be at 92.7 FM. We are trading frequencies with WSKT in Spencer. They will be on 97.7, and we will be on their current frequency, 92.7. Both stations benefit with power increases. The Oldies format currently on WSDM will now be heard on our 104.9, WAXI. A brand new format will be heard on 92.7, WSDM on November 1st.

So is WSDM going to be this new CROCK Format, at 92.7? The station name, and the format mixing rock and country, sounds more like something that would be tested in the DEEP SOUTH, like Carolina, Geogia, Mississippi, louisinanne, maybe even Florida,,, But Not the Midwest. Why the name CROCK,,,,,, We dont even have Crocks in INDIANA. Sounds like a big CROCK of Sh.t to me. lol Anyone have any more info on this Crock format, are there any more of them?

Re: Message on the WSDM website...

When I worked in Terre Haute, "southern rock" played really well. I'm still struggling to imagine a country/rock format, but I can see that there is a segment that might be served there. jim

I believe 97.9 the Loop (WLUP) up here in Chicago used to be WSDM-FM (pre-Loop days in '77 and below)...just a needless obsevation.
