New WKGN translator at 105.7

Whatever Knoxville coverage WIHG "The Hog" had left in Knoxville after WCBK fired up it's translator is now gone, as WKGN lights up a translator on 105.7. This adds to the one at 101.5 (which sounds like it's fed from either the AM signal or a cheap phone line). I'm not sure why they bother with 101.5....it's buried by WQUT, Johnson City literally everywhere

Not good. I still get The Hog at home but driving around town it sounds like a picket fence and neither station is listenable. I will be complaining to WKGN just like I did to WKCE when they blocked WMTY.

I helped get WRJZ moved when they were blocking WNML in Sevierville. Might want to get ahold of WIHG to co-ordinate complaints, I'm sure they'd like that rimshot coverage back, even if their main market is Crossville. (I said at the outset of all the translator stuff that rimshots would be hardest hit)

I sent e-mails to both WKGN and WIHG today. If I don't get any response from either, then I'll be picking up the phone. The Hog still has Knoxville as their third city in their TOH ID. So I'm sure Knoxville listenership is important to them.

This situation was mentioned in Tom Taylor's Newsletter today. WIHG management quoted as saying they will file petition to deny the license to cover, and it's the 3rd attempt to put a translator on 105.7 in Knoxville.

Tennessee Media WRJZ/WETR has applied for a translator @102.5, I wonder if WOWF in Crossville will petition to deny this one.

Does anyone know how to contact the owner of WKGN regarding this translator? They are not responding to any social media correspondence. Meanwhile they have turned up the juice on 105.7. Not a trace of WIHG can be heard in the areas where I used to listen.
