new Wlne schedule starting 04/25

"Starting April 11th, the station is happy to welcome back "700 Club" at 9:00 am..."

Well, praise the Lord, at least it isn't a bra infomercial...

But seriously, how many major network (not counting Fox) affiliates do you know carry "700 Club" in 2011? Occasionally, I'll sift through some of the listings posted on the Classic TV board here on R-I, and find several of the "big three" stations running "700 Club," as well as the old "PTL Club." That was fine back in the 1980's, when channels and programming options were limited. I suppose WLNE's options are still limited at this point. I hope this is only a temporary move.

Well they do say eveywhere.I am surprised they are dropping the 4:00 hour. They pretty much own that hour for news. Why go to five?
I don't think thats going going to work. That reminds of a couple of years ago when TNA wrestling tried going against WWE on Monday Night. They got killed the first week forcing them to go go back to Thursday nights.

It may be uncommon for network affiliates to carry it in the north, which doesn't surprise me a whole lot, but in the south, it's still on network affiliates all over the place. WSLS-10 (NBC), WAVY-10 (NBC), and WRIC-8 (ABC) air the program, and that's just in Virginia.

I wonder how they got the insider and inside edition from another station during the season kinda weird also a milwaukee station just got access hollywood from another station starting next week and deborah norville a veteran journalist was that a joke.

4:00 pm is the highest rated news cast wlne had. however if they do the news better they could get higher rateings.

It took over 40 years for channel six to have a decent news product. Now that they have one why dump it?It makes no sense.I cant see them doing news from 4-6:30.That's a little nutty.

According to programming schedules, it would appear "The 700 Club" will continue to air on WPRI at 9am as well.
They pay for thier airtime don't they?If so 700 club could air on as many stations as want.

Yep. "700 Club" is nothing but a glorified paid program with long-term contracts for the stations running it.
