Wednesday morning, Mike Kaye takes over the morning slot at WNAK-AM.
Mike is a former WILK sales/sports/announcer veteran.

Mike Kaye? I thought he was dead. Maybe they should hire Harry West too. They can tell the same jokes they did 40 years ago.

Tell us a new joke champ.

Here's what I heard:

"Paula was moved to 10 - 4. She will be live from 10 - 1 and VT from 1 -4. The new morning man is Mike Kaye. Roger is going to be doing news for him and running the board."<P ID="signature">______________

I listened this morning and Roger was on and there was a new guy that I never heard before doing the news. The cast had actualities in it from I think AP - which their news never had before. Maybe he's on another one of their stations and doing news via ISDN ???? I've also noticed a big change in the music selections, seems to be a much more modern mix with songs from the 70's and 80's with a few contemp artists from today.

I'd much rather see them invest in live talent then go with the voice tracking mentality so many stations around here have embraced. But I guess that all comes down to dollars and sense.

Will be interesting to see what other changes will be made in the future.

Mike is alive and apparently well. While having
lunch during the week between Christmas and New
Years with a few cronies from the Mid Valley, I
saw Mike with a "Fan" at La Troteria in Scranton.
I recognized him but I don't think he remembered
me. The cane throws a lot of people.
Maybe they should hire Harry West too.
Harry West, the Harry West Show, Harry West, the...
