Jimmy hears a new morning show has been hired and will be announced!

Did Jimmy happen to hear who will be doing the morning shift? Did Jimmy hear when the announcement will take place? When will Jimmy stop talking in the third person? Will Jimmy be part of the new morning show? Will Jimmy be listening to the new show? It's always Jimmy...Jimmy,Jimmy,JIMMY!

Afternoon drive needs some kind of improvement. Sounds like kids trying to play radio. I guess the PD has lost sight of the target demo. So sad because we need a good country station but we all understand that it's going to take sales to drive the success if programming cannot do the job.

I have to disagree on PM Drive. Jojo is fun and really has a good feel. He reminds me of the great old school Top 40 jocks of years past.

The whole station needs improvement, with a change in format, country dose not work in sf

I've never seem a station go down the toilet faster than the wolf. The morning show was origianl, fun and unique and now it's just some lady who sounds like she smokes 3 packs a day. What happened to Gil? Why'd lebaron really leave? How about Marcus? Is Eddie still there?

It's another missed opportunity on a cursed frequency occupied by a doomed format lead by a clearly clueless management. Throw this country thing out and flip it to FM talk.

I'm beginning to buy into the cursed frequency thing. 95.7 sure qualifies.6 format changes in 10 years.

Westinghouse (CBS) could have left it classical with its continued solid 1.3 share and a moneyed audience that kept the station afloat for 30 years.

But ... the 98.9 FM frequency was considered "cursed" forever around here -- bad facility, not enough power, poor signal -- and went through format after format after format. And each time one format was abandoned, the same excuses were given.

I haven't checked lately. Any idea how the ratings are for KSOL 98.9 these days?

"I haven't checked lately. Any idea how the ratings are for KSOL 98.9 these days?"

DJ - the latest 4.1 (12+) rating for the combined 98.9/99.1 operation makes KSOL #3 in the SF market, after KGO (5.8) and KOIT (4.9), and just ahead of KCBS (4.0).

Not being a radio insider, I can't give you the coveted 25-49 rating, but David Eduardo could probably chime in with that info and give you chapter and verse.

It may be worth noting that KSOL's nearest competitor, La Raza (KRZZ), gets only a 2.0, even with El Cucuy and all the advertising they do. I think you can safely say that the 98.1 frequency is no longer "cursed."

I should proofread - I meant to say that the 98.9 frequency is no longer cursed. And for some reason, my computer wanted to make one of those dumb happy faces instead of an "8" (eight). The KGO 12+ rating is five- point - eight.

She really did leave to take time to travel. Nothing nefarious about her departure, as boring as that is. The last I heard, Eddie will be the only remaining piece of the puzzle.

The new show is coming from Sacramento. Now Sacramento can listen to The Wolf because not many in the Bay Area do. Good purchase Entercom.

You're obviously not the Domino that worked at WCCO-FM and KDWB; he's Domino Rippey, and he's no longer alive (rest his soul).

If this is true, so much for the Wolf. Great production, good execution of liners, but talent is lacking severely. The AM show in Sac, if the AM show that coming from Sac is also the one from the Wolf up here, ( I seriously doubt it, two different owners), they won't survive. I only listen for the music. The personalities are all second if not third rate.

You got some bad info, the new team isn't from Sacramento.
