I see a lot of posts about WOOF being solid and strong and a great place to work, but have any of you actually worked there?! Has anybody noticed the turnover (on air and off) they've had in the past three years?! None of these people were fired! They quit!!

Good luck John...from what I hear you will need it!!

Listen 80, WOOF is a solid, strong and a great place to work. I know that from working there over 10 years. So what if they have had a few turnovers in the past 3 years out of 20 years where there was hardly anyone leaving WOOF. Air talent comes and goes just like spring and fall, same with sales. There is always someone with more hunger right on your heels to throw you under the bus. That is how the radio business is and every other business. The only suggestion I have for you is you nip this thread in the butt b/c there are nothing but wonderful people working and owning that radio station. I can guarantee that If I had not chosen a different path to follow I would still be working for WOOF. It just sounds like you might have some issues with WOOF. Maybe you applied and never got a call back? Jealous?

By the way I do believe the last person WOOF fired (4 years ago) was Earl K. and that was not b/c his sales were bad but only b/c he thought he was a ladies man. LOL! Word to the wise "never have an affair with a woman who's husband drives a UPS truck"

There is something to be said about CHOOSING to QUIT. It beats the hell out of being knifed in the back, thrown under the bus, and out the window. Especially when it is a long way to the ground. Doesn't hurt your resume either.

WOW! Isn't Earl in sales at HIS Radio now? Did he find "the Lord"?

Hey Radio Mayhem...Not jealous. Just stating a fact. Maybe the WOOF you worked at was a different WOOF then?! Even Nirvana is not perfect and ALL radio stations have skeletons in their closets! And BTW, I didn't start the thread. I was responding to a thread that had already been started! And the Earl comment was just plain RUDE! GOD forgives!

Hey More Cowbell...(love the name BTW!)...You are so right! Those who chose to quit did so because they were knifed in the back, thrown under the bus, out the window and driven to quit!!

Hey OMGLOL...Earl always had the LORD! He just made a mistake! And again, GOD forgives!

Well put. I always liked Earl.

Your right 80, GOD does forgive and maybe he will forgive you someday. Facts are Facts and I was just stating one. DOG eat DOG World! Don't ask questions if you can't handle the answers. Have a wonderful weekend.

80sradio I have no idea where you got your information but you are wrong. It got me to wondering and I did a little simple research and went to the DJ part of thier web site http://www.997wooffm.com/djs.html.
And you will see this .

Amy Daniels Since 1999 (8 Years)
Rick Patrick Since 1991 (16 Years)
Laura Pate Since 1989 (18 Years)
Jerry Daniel Since 2004 ( 3 Years)
Brad Bailey Since 1992 (15 Years)

Past DJS
K.W. Keene Started in the mid 80's I think ?

I think the only two that have quit in the past three years that were not at WOOF more than 5 were David Sommers and Wendy . And you call that a high turnover?

As far as the sales part to your question Hal Edwards has been there since I can remember.

Can the building downtown say the same ? I think not
