New WPVI Digital Channel

Today, when I flipped on my DTV Tuner I noticed on Channel 6-3, the Storm Tracker 6 radar which is usually on that channel has changed to a new channel called Action News Now, which is actually a Weather Channel similar to NBC Weather Plus by that they use that L shaped Screen. They have forcasts from Accuweather with Channel 6's Accuweather inserted in. They show temperatures around the area, news headlines, a radar, and some advertisements. It seems like a good channel, but I will miss wathching the live radar when the storms come.

It's a good channel, but what on Earth is WPVI thinking with the other digital channel? Infomercials?!?! It was a much better channel when it ran Action News encores often throughout the day. Heck, when it was ABC News Now it was better than what they've done to it....and ABC News Now was no great invention.

What I wish they would have done is make it Action News Classic. All day reruns of classic Action News/Channel 6 newscasts from this day years ago. <P ID="signature">______________
