Thats an awesome sight ALAN,, Really Wish radio was like that today with talented High Energy jocks, and lots of listener interaction and Cash give aways.. It was awesome..

Also,, That was the best tribute radio website ever,, but does anyone have any Power 96 airchecks,, either scoped or unscoped between the years 1986 at sign on,,, on up to 2000,, I will accept anything you guys have that you could post a link too.. Both stations are a major part of S- Florida CHR Radio history,, that is before power 96 went Urban to take on WEDR and dumped Dance Music due to party 93.1...
 
 
Ahh, the good old days of Miami radio. When radio here was worth listening to.

Agreed that he's not the talent he once was. But are you saying he worked w/out a contract at some point? Or do you mean that as soon as he established himself and got too cozy with the big money he never again put forth the effort it takes to crank out that superior product?

I chalk it up to absence of the supporting cast he had in those days. That's where a lot of the talent was and Sonny seems better as ringleader than as the act itself, IMO. And of course he had the young, hip thing going for him then.
