New Year Atlanta Radio Predictions

Okay, I'll go first:

FM Talk arrives. Probably WGST-FM (now there's a reach)

Steve McCoy will return to mornings (and just in time for PPM, on an Lite AC).

Jimmy Baron Will Return to mornings - maybe with Eric Von Haessler (sp?)

99X will change calls but musically not too far away from where they are now---but more classics. Perhaps they'll lean older males and go after The River.

Oldies will return to Atlanta. Probably replacing one of the country stations...which leads me to...

One of the country stations will switch formats - sooner than later.

Chris Krok (WSB) will be more during the day.

Since I'm the idiot who started this topic, If some higher up at Radio Info can change the spelling from Atanta to Atlanta, I'd sleep better tonight. Also I meant to write that Chris Krok will be HEARD more during the day. Thanks

Idefinitely hope that REAL "oldies" come back.
Too much Country in this Market.

I would love to see oldies come back to Atlanta too! While I agree there are too many country stations in this market, I'd be very surprised to see one of them flip to oldies. Kicks and 106.7 aren't going anywhere and I just don't see CC flipping The Bull to oldies. As far as I'm concerned, the other country rimshots (WNGC 106.1, South 107, 92.5) don't count.

My prediction would be that if Atlanta was to get oldies, it would be either CBS or Cumulus that would make the flip.
