No. You understand that WKFS generates revenue that would not be replaced by WLW moving to 107.1? And 94.5 is a non-factor. It would be virtually invisible. If KISS disappears from the FM dial and it's no longer on a listenable full-market signal, it's done. Moving it to 94.5 and expecting listeners to go to the app will not happen. They won't go. It doesn't work that way.

Try listening to a Reds game on WLW AM during a thunderstorm. Even within 10 miles of "The Big One". With all of the major electrical/wifi/etc. interference to AM radio, especially in homes these days, it's not a tough choice to listen via FM vs AM. Additionally, due to streaming, younger people are conditioned to digital sounding apps and FM quality. They don't have the patience for "noise" and "interference" when tuning in to a radio.
Back in the 60's - 90's I wouldn't make such a claim. However, technology is both a blessing, and in this case, a curse. Just sayin'.

People are spoiled.
They're spoiled because they like better quality sound? listen to the Bengal games on WEBN FM as opposed to on an AM station and tell me that it doesn't sound better on FM.
Before I retired I worked with a lot of young people from the so-called Millennial and gen Z generation and I'm telling you not one of them ever listened to AM radio. if a format like 700 WLW is going to survive it better migrate to FM or it's audience is going to be in the obituaries.
Yes, and if that's going to seriously happen, it needs a much better signal than 94.5.
I enjoy a decent amount of WLW's programming and if I listen during the day at home while I'm working, I'm more likely to pull up the stream than turn on the radio 10 feet from me largely because of the sound quality.

It wasn't that long ago that we were listening to AM stations that sounded like they were using a golf tee as a stylus for their turntables. And I'm not even that old.
My late friend Tom insisted till the day he died that music sounded better on AM because that was what he was used to when he was in high school.I pointed out dynamic range and frequency response and of course stereo,he didn't care he just liked music on AM better.that's just the way it is people like what they like
That was why I suggested in this thread that I heart flip107.1 to a simulcast of WLW. but I was shot down by people telling me how much KISS FM bills. that's all well and good but how much is WLW going to bill when we reach the point where the average age of their listeners is 70 because younger people don't listen to AM?
