New Years Eve - Majik 13 returns on 1560 WMRO

That was referring to George P. Mooney, the owner and several years before George McClintocks time here.

w/

BTW...George did the play-by-play for UT sports prior after Lindsey Nelson and prior to John Ward (or possibly before Nelson)
he attended the UT 2008 football homecoming, and was interviewed at halftime: hadn't lost any of the fire...

last thing...I promise: I remember how upset he got when he saw the 1300/WMAK "supershield" logo
drawn on a lemon, sittting atop the SAMMY automation at 92Q (still in Hendersonville)...and how angry he got
at one of Berlin's 92Q sticker promos that asked "does the sticker on your car make it look like it belongs in a military motorpool?"

both were promptly removed

"I had returned for a few months to WHIN Gallatin in 1975 " buddy..refresh my somewhat tattered memory on you and WHIN..i know you were there sometime around '64 after three in the afternoon as I would come home from school, grab the transister and hit the john to listen..probably a picture no one needs to visualize..i know you were there around 68..and I was there in 75 and remember you either leaving for Houston or returning..or maybe both.. My years there were JAN 71 as far as i can rememeber..buntin would know the exact date..and stayed through late 76 i think..too much fun to remember all..what's your timeline ?

I know I'm late replying, I didn't get to do it. :'(

We had an insulator get loose on the tower and one of the unipole wires was shorting to the tower. WMRO was off half of New Years Day. Dale Howard had to climb the tower and fix the broken insulator and patch a wire together, so I could get back on. All in All, this was shorting out back down the feedline, shutting off the transmitter and it wouldn't stay on, even at low power. :-[

That wind we had was terrible to my antenna on the tower.

Oh well, there's next year, 2010!

There's always Arbor Mist, Disco and 'MRO for Valentimes, Scott...

A marketer's dream. Maybe Romer can do a duet with Rush.
