As an energy-savings initiative, why don't we resolve to save bandwidth on this site by stipulating the following, and agree never to mention them again:
1. AM is dead.
2. The "suits" are stupid.
3. The "suits" don't have a clue what makes good radio and will do anything, including the intentional loss of money, to stifle creative programmers.
4. Broadcasting is driven by advertisers who are not interested in the demographic for oldies, the music of your life, smooth jazz, polka or ska.
5. If station A could get frequency B from competitor C, move the signal to tower D, change the pattern to point the null at township E and hire personality F for morning drive, they might just be successful with format G.
6. AM is still dead. I just checked.
