New York City June 2011 PPM's

As for the ratings since I've never checked in a month that CBS-FM is still doing well in the #2. Look what happened according to the Poughkeepsie Spring Ratings book, WGNY's "Fox Oldies" at 98.9 had a 1.6 in the ratings period. That is a downer. I guess the station played an amount of pre-Beatles music from the 50's and early 60's along with a mixed bag of 60's and 70's songs that it is playing on CBS-FM right now including Motown and Beatles stuff, but on the other hand, CBS-FM playing a little bit of this and a little bit of that with some 80's stuff mixed in. CBS-FM used to play 50's and early 60's music, but thanks to "Fox Oldies" if it's up in Poughkeepsie at 98.9, you should try that out. I listened to 98.9 all the time, and it sounds great, just like CBS-FM did since it first started back around 1972 until 2005 before "Jack" came along and came back two years later and it's still going strong.

I guess kudos to CBS-FM for doing it very well in the PPM's, and in the Spring book in Poughkeepsie, "Fox Oldies" is not going anywhere, it will continue to be like the old CBS-FM circa 1972-2005 along with Van Ritshie, Bob O, Buffalo Bob and Joe Manglass are good jocks along with their fill-ins including Bob Miller, he's back on the air too after he let go from WCZX's "Mix 97.7" back in February.

I look at the final ratings for WRXP before WEMP's "101.9 FM New" started, it was doing okay, but not all that great. I hope former WRXP listeners as I said before would end up elsewhere on the dial including WAXQ's "Q-104.3" which is a winner, and then other former fans of "RXP would also end up somewhere in the HV listening area including WDST, WPDH and WBPM to get their music. WPDH is down some in the #4 spot in the Spring book but WDST and WBPM are still down behind WGNY's "Fox Oldies".

The rest is up to them.
