New York Jets Football On 710 ESPN?

Sure, there's the Mark Sanchez (USC) angle, but how many people in Syracuse are clamoring to tune into a Minnesota Vikings game to hear Donovan McNabb in action?

It's easy plug-and-play programming, though - just simulcast New York's ESPN Radio feed of the games.

The Yankees may have affiliates all over the country, but the Jets are not the Yankees.

LA needs an NFL team of its own. Looks like AEG (same outfit that owns Staples Center) is going to build a stadium downtown. Perhaps the Chargers will come up the 5 freeway to LA?

Which would be ironic since they started as the Los Angeles Chargers.

I keep hearing about the Raiders moving back to LA if the Blackout rule is still applied in Oakland.
Also Raiders were rumoured to Move to Santa Clara to share a stadium with the 49ers.

From a listener's point of view, there are already two networks doing NFL doubleheaders on Sunday (2 games at 10am 2 games at 1pm, and Sunday Night Football at 5:30pm). What would be a compelling reason to listen to a Jets-Bills game if the networks are running Dallas-Washington, or Green Bay-Chicago, etc.

Another ridiculous move by P.D. Mike Thompson which has made several dumb moves like hiring Max Kellerman and firing Andrew Siciliano. The station now will air Jets games? Even with the USC Mark Sanchez angle I can't see this generating any ratings. Nobody cares about the Jets in L.A. KLAC will be airing Westwood One's NFL feed and KLAA will have the Raiders. 710 is going downhill!
