New York Nonstop Is Finished.

Odd that while they're an NBC operation, a majority of the initial lineup of shows they're carrying will be programs that originally ran on ABC (The Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers, Ozzie and Harriet, Charlie's Angels, 6 Million Dollar Man) or CBS (Lassie). Don't they have any of their own classics to feed this network? They can't get hold of Seinfeld or Frasier now (Seinfeld will probably be in conventional syndication another 20 years), but why not at least some old NBC shows like Jack Paar, Get Smart, Man From UNCLE, or Bonanza?

As for the shows listed on Cozi TV, I don't think many will keep track, or remember of where it originally aired. Those shows listed seem very old, so old that not even cable channels would air them.

I'd like to see a more confirmed report (coming from NBC) however about this network though.

In Philadelphia, WCAU runs a 7pm newscast on the nonstop channel.

It would think it would probably rely mainly on the MCA/Universal and NBC Television libraries. Remember many of the old classic shows that originally ran on NBC were produced and or now owed by CBS/Paramont/Desilu, 20th Century Fox,ABC?Tuchtone/Disney,Sony/Colombia/Screen Gems and Warner Brothers (who also owns much of the pre 1986 MGM TV Library)

As is the case on WNBC, as well as NBC's three O&O's in California. (Didn't Chuck give up the 7 PM WNBC-DT2 newscast awhile back?)

In Los Angeles KTLA runs a rebroadcast of their news on their Antenna TV sub-channel in lieu of shows ATV runs. I'm sure this will be the case with NBC's retro net.

Other people own them now, including "Get Smart" and "Bonanza", both of which were owned and/or syndicated by NBC, but now are owned and/or distributed by CBS, through a litany of ownership changes over the years, starting with the sale of NBC Films to NTA in the early-1970s.

let me guess FOX would run an retro channel having most of their old programs (Married With Children ,The Simpsons ,original 90210 & Melrose Place ,Martin ,New York Undercover ,etc). While the CW have their own sub-channel airing old UPN & WB series to fill the schedule.

Does anyone have issues with video on this channel? It is fine over the air, but Cablevision seems to stretch out the channel at times, with a quarter of the image from the right hand side no longer visible on an SD set. Most noticeable when advertisers display their phone numbers and also when first tuning in the channel, it always appears fine at first (although compressed in size) -- but sometimes it shifts to the right just as the info banners (time, channel, program name, description, etc.) clear the screen.
