That's because the moderator removed the message. It was about a sick little girl whose teacher requested that people send her birthday cards. I thought it would be nice for this 6 year old child suffering from a form of cancer to receive cards from TV personalities across the state.
Apparently a notion that the moderator did not agree with...which is a shame.
It's an urban legend, based on a similar one where a sick Scottish boy requested people to send him postcards to cheer him up. That story was true, but the consequence to the legend is that he still gets postcards, even after he got better.

Since the moderator of this board took down the post, you don't know what it stated. But I can tell you that the local newspaper in Rochester NY checked out the story and in this case it's true. A 6 year old girl from the Town of Henrietta has cancer and her birthday wish is to receive cards from people. She has already received hundreds, according to the newspaper reporter who interviewed her parents. If you want to see the full story go to the Rochester/Buiffalo radio section of this board. I posted the e-mail from the teacher there along with the girl's address. If you want to send a card, great! If not, that's your decision. But I repeat this is not a urban legend.
Thanks to everyone who responded. The young girl received THOUSANDS of cards, letters and gifts from around the world. And what does this have to do with TV you ask? It's communication!!! And many people in the broadcasting industry were kind enough to reply to this sick child.
