They are now calling themselves "The Rock of New York" - a homage to the old WNEW?
 
Coming from Boston, when I heard the Rock of I expected to hear Boston, but obviously I'm in the wrong city. If they were smart they'd split the imaging and replace new york with brooklyn, and Queens, and LI, and new jersey, and Bronx, etc.

No, they're doing it right. Saying "New York" makes them sound big. No other city name in the country carries quite the same impressive authority.
