New York Stations on Facebook

I checked out the Facebook pages from a number of stations in this area. Hot 97's had about 1.5 million "likes", which seems to be an astounding number. Power 105.1 had the second most from the ones I checked, around a million. WBLS had around 800,000. Mega 97.9 around 600,000 But other popular stations such as Lite FM and WNEW had far less.
Could anything be inferred from this, such as an indication of listener engagement with the stations? Anyone have any idea why Hot 97's Facebook page has such a vast audience?
 
Hot 97 is nationally famous and viewed as core to the hip hop culture. Power 105.1 while a great station and been around a long time is generally seen has a local hip hop station (same as Power 99 Philly, etc.). I'd expect that many expat New Yorkers, serious serious hip hop fans, and those in the "rap game" throw the station a like. Power 105.1 won't have the same out of town following.
