New York ! The countdown begins NOW !

I think both NOW and Z will Survive, but obviously going up against the Z is gonna be an Uphill battle. But if they take some cue's from Indys Radio Now 100.9,, the first since Chicagos 96 Now,, which is now B-96 then both stations can survive.. I dont think Z-100 has a lot to worry about, but most people will listen to both staions,, but since 92.3 doesnt have the KTU to protect, they can play more Mainstream Dance and more urban than the Z,, kinda like AMP, and Radio Ones Radio Now 100.9 in Indy....

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that Oldies-based formats (including Adult Hits, Classic Hits, Classic Rock, etc.) are more popular when the economy is turning downward. People get nostalgic during bad times, or something like that. However, CHR/Top 40 becomes more popular when the economy turns upward. So, maybe, CHR/Top 40's recent resurgence is a sign that our economy has finally hit bottom and the time to sing and dance to NEW music again is just around the corner!? Just a thought....
