The Presidential address from Berlin was none other than the "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall" speech. Also, I'm a little surprised that only one of the network flagship stations (WCBS) had a noon newscast at that point.

"Seventh Avenue" on WWOR is probably the 1977 NBC miniseries.
Look at the terrible time slots for both "Solid Gold" and Sally Jessy Raphael in America's biggest media market. Not only is Sally in the middle of the night, but for some bizarre reason it's only a half-hour long.

I wonder who anchored the coverage. i doubt Brokaw was up that early, but Jennings might have done it for ABC.
