Newbie at the WFXY cluster in Middlesboro?

Broker,
Hear tell of some new blood possibly coming
to your latest acquisition. Is this guy a
multiple-hat wearer or a one-track wannabe?
Just curious since I'm hearing so many good
things about what you are planning.

Spindoctor, are you fishing for a compliment?

I'm actually on a major talent-finding mission. The new blood you've been hearing about is just the tip of the ice-berg. If anybody out there knows any good on-air talent in Southeastern Kentucky, send them my way.

No I'm not fishing, but if you're handing them out I'll take one.
(Kidding. I kid, that's my job.)
It did however initiate conversation, right?
Why use a hook for one fish when a stick of dynamite can produce
a bushel full.

Spindoctor,

I'm here in East Tennessee fishing for a job. If it's a good place to work with honest people, send me a line:

If its possible for you to use voicetracks, I'm going to school at Morehead State and could send them to you. :)

Okay, here goes:

Spindoctor is an incredibly talented individual. My life has been enriched by his friendship, and I am delighted that he'll soon hang his hat at an office a couple doors down from mine. I can't wait to discover the new heights he and I can together reach with my stations.

There ya go.

And, by the way, Spindoctor, are you paying attention? We gotta find afternoon guys for three stations. Looks like we have the beginnings of a talent pool, Mister Operations Manager.

Those interested

For those of you interested in auditioning for
a company that actually cares about it's employees
AND knows radio inside and out, please send your
info to [email protected]
Don't worry about whether or not you have a specific
sound, send what you can, even if it is limited.
We are not looking for novices, but at the same time
I believe we can surely spot talent. The top dog is
a good guy, but he wants workers not loafers. This
cluster has more potential than I have seen in a very
long time, thus the opportunity is not to be underestimated.
The area is ripe for fresh talent and the team that is
being created can only explode in the market.

Looking forward to hearing from those who hunger for radio.

Re: Those interested

It's interesting about this situation.............

Mr Wilkey has someone right under his nose who'd love to work for him and has offered many times..... and this person is quite talented, intelligent and qualified..........yet he won't come full circle and hire this person.

If your last name is Walker then you are showing a lack
of professionalism by using this forum to vent. This, to
me, is proving your need for more experience. I heard your
demo, shall I voice my opinion here? I think not unless
you feel others should be privy to serious constructive
criticism. At one time or another we have all heard 'no'
in the business, this happens to be your time.
Just for the record, who told you that you were qualified?
I graciously left out the talented question.
