Newcap to acquire former Astral stations in Toronto & Vancouver

After months of speculation Newcap has announced that they intend to purchase the former Astral properties in Toronto and Vancouver from Bell Media for a price of $112 million plus the assumption of certain liabilities (subject to CRTC approval).

The stations are:
CFXJ - FLOW 93.5 - Toronto (Urban)
CHBM - BOOM 97.3 - Toronto (Classic Hits)
CKZZ - VIRGIN RADIO 95.3 - Vancouver - Hot AC
CHHR - SHORE 104.3 - Vancouver - Triple A
CISL - 650 - Richmond-Vancouver - Oldies/Standards
