newer music on the Hawk

Has anyone noticed the Hawk playing newer music recently? Not that the music is banrd new but I've heard a few songs by Matchbox 20, Green day-"When I come Around" and tonight I heard "Fly" by sugar Ray. I personally don't mind the songs but am surprised to hear them on the Hawk. Has anyone moticed them playing on Frank FM? Any thoughts???

Much like most former Oldies stations adding the 70's and, recently, the 80's, you need to move the age up so that you keep your older demos but bring in new or you risk the chance of the format going the way of B/EZ and Standards/Nostalgia/MOR.

I heard U2-Beautiful Day last night at 7 pm. I personally think this regressive radio needs to end. It' s so boring!

Nothing and I mean nothing is as boring as WGPA. Funny how you have a made it a point many times that you don't like the station but yet you know what songs are playing AND what time they are playing. Sounds like a loyal listener to me.

I was doing laundry. I do not listen to radio otherwise except for Savage, and Coast To Coast. When I wake up and hear Bobby Gunther I jump across the room and turn it off immediately!
