Why did CBS get the shaft in Atlantic Canada in the 70s and 80s? Most areas carried ABC and NBC, but not CBS. Ironic considering Bangor's CBS affiliate (WABI) was the strongest station in that market from what I've read.
 
Not sure why...but the ironic thing was that Bangor's NBC and CBS stations had translators in Calais, which could be picked up over the border in Chamcook, NB (where the signals were microwaved across the region), but ABC didn't (though their tx was closer to Calais than the orther two).
