(( Full disclosure -- I'm the Program Director of WCOH ))
Newnan's WCOH-AM 1400 celebrates its 60th anniversary on December 6th. Station historian Jim Williams has put together an hour-long program featuring archival interviews of station founders and legends, including station founder James Thomasson, former owner Jim Hardin (who came to WCOH bearing experience from WATL and WSB) and longtime personality Alvin Johnston (who was employed by WCOH for more than 50 years, until his death). If you're interested in hearing the program and happen to be in range of the 1000-watt AM, you can listen to the special at noon Thursday, 5PM Friday, noon Saturday, and 7AM Sunday. We'll also be loading a streaming version of it onto our website's "station history" page some time on Thursday after the program debuts...

I think I speak for all of us who are at WCOH when I say that we feel honored and privileged to have been entrusted with one of Georgia's legacy radio stations.
