News and Marriage

Just noticed Kristin Anderson is back at WKYC as a reporter.

Of course she and her husband John were the morning anchor team at channel 3 during the early 2000s, and John has recently returned to 3 himself, taking over the morning gig a couple of weeks ago after being the weekend sports anchor/news co-anchor.

Wonder if they'll try Andersons in the AM 2.0 in the near future?

This now makes them the third married couple currently on Cleveland TV news, along with Tony and Denise Zarella (WOIO) and Jon Kosich (WEWS)/Stacey Frey (WJW).

Of course, they most famous married couple in Cleveland TV news was Doug Adair and Mona Scott, who were on WKYC in the early 80s before going to WCMH NBC 4 in Columbus.

John and Kristin both anchored the morning news together around 2001 on 3. She also briefly anchored the weekend morning news in 2006-07.

Is she full-time or freelancing? It's nice to see her on 3 again.

Those two, along with Tony and Denise and John and Stacey are all good personalities.

I should that Betsy Kling's husband Paul Thomas used to work with her at 3 before he left, so 3 at one time had two couples all working on air.
