News and Sports Director

Noalmark Broadcasting Corporation has an immediate opening for a News / Sports Director in El Dorado, Arkansas.

This is a full time position with salary + vacation + health insurance + dental insurance + life insurance + gas allowance and more.
I don't believe it is necessary to go through all of the requirements for this position... We all know what a News & Sports Director does.
There are a few things I would like to point out:
  • There is an opportunity for commission on sales if you would like to help with Sports sales
  • There is a talent fee for ball games you do for us
  • I would expect the News Director to host a 25 min Local Issues show each weekday on our News-Talk FM
  • We also publish a weekly newspaper that the News & Sports Director would help us with

The News & Sports Director will work with our Operations Manager on Ascertainments and Programming to meet public needs. As much as I wish this job paid $40k per year, it doesn't (I realize this limits our applicants, but the market can handle what the market can handle)... However, I believe it would be very feesible to make $25,000 - $30,000 per year in the first year.

We have six stations in El Dorado and 16 in the State of Arkansas (plus more coming soon)... All in all, this means there are PLENTY of ball games to cover.

We have a great atmosphere to work in... We expect professionalism and yet we know how to have fun...

Interested applicants should send their resume + salary history (or requirements) to me via email at [email protected]

Noalmark Broadcasting Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we STRONGLY encourage women and minorities to apply.

Dang Sandy, no takers on this one yet? It sounds like a heck of a deal and El Dorado isn't the armpit of the universe or anything. This coming from Texarkana...LOL! If you guys need some morning news just to get by until you find the right person, holler at me. I'm doing news for Scott down here in the neverlands. Nothing like rolling out of bed, rewriting news at 5am and crawling back in bed before the baby wakes up at 8am. Life is good! LOL!
