News Article: The Beloved Album Cover...

(From the "International Herald Tribune")

Ask anyone to identify the images that meant the most to them in their youth, and they'll probably include an album cover. At least, they will if they are telling the truth. Everyone has a favorite. And for me, it was Robert Mapplethorpe's portrait of Patti Smith posing as a punked-up Frank Sinatra on the cover of "Horses."

Two early faves are KISS' "Rock and Roll Over" (that record came with decals of
the artwork) and Bob Welch's "French Kiss," which features a gorgeous brunette
dressed in red lingerie and gold heels.

Ah yes, Sentimental Lady and Ebony Eyes on that one.

Good Stuff.
