News: Hot 93.3 Austin,TX

That kinda sucks,, Hot was a good hip hop station, and so was the old Mega 93.3 with dance music, and also Power 93 when it was chr... I hate to see a good signal like this flip to a non music format.

Can't believe that Emmis just gave up on the Rhythmic format with Hot 93.3 and let CC have the format with 105.9 The Beat or they'll ever keep the format or if they'll ever sell it and who ever takes over that it will stay Rhythmic. I'm glad I tape some stuff off the station a few years ago with went through ATX. At least I'll have something to remember the station by.

I hate to see any heritage music station go all talk, especially Rhythmic-Dance- or CHR,, and even Oldies and Rock.. Keep the talk on the AMs....I like Coast to Coast,,Rush,, and Glen Beck, but they belong on the AM side.

Today I Found Out that Hot 93 Is Flipping Formats On Friday Keep You Posted...

oh crap that so sucks. Hate it when I hear a Rhythmic is flipping.

Hope They are not thinking something crazy like Hot97 next.

Hot wasn't the same as it was when it first stunted with a loop of Nelly's, "It's Getting Hot in Herre". Eric Edwards was no longer voicing the station, and mixes had gotten pathetic. Worst of all, they had done away with the "Tejas Caliente Mix Weekends".

Yeah thats true,,,, I liked when it was toward the end of Mega 93.3 when they played Dance and rap without the pop in between stuff. I hate to see any good station flip especially Rhythmic or dance. It sucks to lose a CHR too, but the U.S has so many of them,,, alot of area's are deprived of a true Urban Hip Hop station, they may have an Adult leaned Uraban, or a conservative rhythmic leaned CHR like Hot 98.1 in Greenville S.C,,, but they are missing the good cutting edge stuff, and the mixshows and such.

Does Eric Edwards really voice many stations now? I know he still does Hot97 in NYC. Who is the BIG time voice over guy. His voice is everywhere. Like 98.7 kiss fmNYC Power 99 Philly and most CC Urbans. the Big Stick Foxy 99

Big urban voices:
Rick Party,(97.9 The Beat, Hot 97.5, BET)

Dr. Dave Furgeson, (105.9 The Beat, and many other Clear Channel urbans)

Pat Garrett, (97.9 The Box, and many others)

I love Eric Edwards and st John, but my favorite V.O guy for all formats is Mitch Craig,, he is on K-Win 97.7 amoung others...

Eric Edwards voices WJMN here in Boston.

I'm ashamed to see another true Urban go, even though I never really listened to this station much.

The last song played as Hot 93.3 was Mims "This Is Why I'm Hot". Thats it for Hot. 6 years in the making. (August 2003 - November 20, 2009).

AAA KGSR moves to 93.3, and its former signal on 107.1 goes spanish. It seems like many markets are reduced to one hip hop station.

I still say Hot 93.3 was a victum in this situation.

Dr Dave. that was the name I couldn't think of.

Can anyone tell me who the VO guy for WQBT 94.1 the beat Savannah is. It used to be Dr Dave until Chase came on

Maybe someone from Apollo Productions, either Al Love or someone, but I dont think it's George himself. This could be a wild guess, that's why I said maybe.
