>>No WPHL-17 News then, just sixers bb, Wee Willie Weber Cartoon Club, The Discophonic Scene, and Tobar the 8th Man.
Don't forget "Delaware Valley Forum", the public affairs show that aired daily on WPHL for many years, usually early in the morning, right after sign-on. Speaking of Delaware Valley Forum, does anyone know what ever happened to the host, Dorie Lenz??
In the early 1990s, shortly after TAFT purchased the station, "PHL-17" had short one to two minute newsbreaks, but they did not actually have a news program until 1994 or 1995 when they began "Inquirer News Tonight", a short-lived collaborative effort between the Philadelphia Inquirer and WPHL.
