News Talk Formatics

I don't know how much talk radio you guys listen to, but one thing that I don't like is when, like when I'm listening to a show like Rush Limbaugh, that WREC 600 doesn't end their commercials on time, right at 6 m 00 s after the hour. Lately when I've been listening, they always jump in like 45 seconds in. I'm not asking if you're a Rush fan or not, but this is just not good programming formatics in my opinion. Any thoughts?

I guess they do that on purpose to squeeze more ad time in...but for a while it just sounded like the automation system clock wasn't in sync with network time. Either was, it is annoying.* Hey, I can post again ! *

I have noticed that, too. I have commented on this board before how there are really no stations in this city that run a tight automation. I get the opportunity to listen at night and it's amazing how poorly they are executed. I guess nobody pays attention.Speaking of WREC, try listening to their internet stream of 600. The late rejoins or cutting off of shows can get quite irritating. Add to it they are still running a promo with Grenall Scott (sp?) and he left the station in December! All that said, it seems WREC's new PD is doing a good job trying to straighten things up.
