From RandR.com:
<blockquote>News/Talk Still Tops In Arbitron Format Shares

According to American Radio Listening Trends released by Arbitron for summer 2005, stations in the "News/Talk/Information" category earned a *.* share of all radio listening. The numbers cited by Radio and Records are full week 12+ AQH share averages. If you look at the full report, notice that News/Talk does not do so well in the money demos, or on the weekends.

great article - we could do a contest to see who can find the highest shares in "news/talk/information" over the arbitron on line calculator -

for example:

Demo: Men 25-54, M-F 3p-7p, Top 25

also note in selected combos that the 'talk' format has seen a significant increase on the calculator since 1998 - That is, sometimes independently to the other 3 categories of "news/talk/information:"

'news/talk'
'all news'
'all sports'
