I TRIED to listen today to Matt and Lois on KTRH...the build up was to hear from an expert on school district funding in Texas...I had to wait through at least 7 back-to-back spots (I thought they only did this on music stations)...and the expert on school district funding in Texas turned out to be...Michael Berry (who apparently wrote his Master's thesis on Texas school funding)! What a crock! And after the interview, Matt what's his name spent the next minute promoting Michael Berry's afternoon show! All of this was preceded, of course, by calls from ONLY right-slanted "listeners" blaming all our problems on having to educate the children of illegal immigrants and overpaid bureaucrats firing teachers in order to save their own jobs...the SOS we hear ad infinitum....

KTRH, Clear Channel, M. Berry and whoever else is in charge: this is not how to run a radio station that bills itself as "News Radio." This may have worked four years ago but it ain't gonna fly today. I fully expect News92FM to knock your sox off...deservedly so.

I also gave a listen to America's Morning News powered by The Washington Times on 650...the two news presenters can't read a story that makes sense the way they quote political survey results...they need to read over wire copy before airing or hire editors who can write/rewrite.

My quasi-expert opinion: KTRH and KIKK news programming is UNLISTENABLE!

Agreed. Sick of talk radio. Bring on News 92.1!
