Newsrooms outside Atlanta

In your opinion, what station(s) has or have the strongest newsroom in the state...besides Atlanta?

No doubt about it-=WDUN==The Jacobs media as a family owned group of stations has 24 hour news coverage which they are currently making a major investment in space, technology, etc and they tie into their website www.accessnorthga.com. WDUN is hands down the best news room in the state and could rival Atlanta--according to two recent news directors at WSB and WGST.

Not sure I'd agree that it's necessarily THE best, but there is a long-term commitment there that's pretty impressive. I know WGAU did a great job during the Randolph Holder years. Not sure what they're doing now.

I definitely agree with you on that point. In an era where most radio stations have either cut back on news, or have all but eliminated news departments, WDUN is a station that stands out.
