NEWSTALK 550 KFYI WEEKEND LINE UP CHANGES

I see that the weekend line up has changed; Sunday, Handel on The Law is NO LONGER on at 3pm, but instead 5am-8am. I believe Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and a few others have been switched around (or added) to Sundays as well.

MY OPINIONS:
Well, I may not be the average type of radio listener, but this surely means that most likely, this will end all my KFYI listening on weekends. *I never listen to Coast to Coast AM on Fri. or Sat. nights. (Sunday's, sometimes, or only on the first Sunday of each month).*Since I never sleep early on a Saturday night and I'm normally listening to late night mixshows on certain stations whenever I have a radio on during a weekend night if I'm awake, I rarely to never ever wake up anytime between 5 and 8am on a Sunday, which means no more Handel on The Law for me. *I used to enjoy Terry Gilberg followed by Handel on The Law, and since I was already listening, I'd sometimes even just go right into Coast To Coast on a Sunday night. I even liked it more, back when they had the entire Bill Handel, Leo Laporte, Terry Gilberg,...etc. Sunday line up. Now, I have almost no enticement to listen to anything at all on Sundays (and I do not tune in to AM talk on Saturdays).

Hmmm.... with all these changes going on here, from Rhythmic Oldies no longer embracing freestyle to AM switching up my favorite programming with inconvenient timings to a bunch of chr's adopting an almost identical sound and no longer sounding distinct and original from each other musically, Atlanta radio is looking better and better to me. Not that I'm complaining - I really don't mind, as it only makes things easier for me from a radio point of view when the day comes that I have to leave. ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I could be wrong), but doesn't KFYI modify some of their schedule every year for Daylight Saving Time? Specificially, CTC-AM syndie feed starting at 11pm AZ time instead of the current 10pm start time? Having the extra hour of CTC-AM at *9pm* on Sundays still sounds...um, weird, particularly when it's not from the previous night's show. I still wish Bonneville could snag the show from C/C when the contract's up for renewal.

Oh, no...the great "tape delay vs real time" debate is about to resume with the arrival of Standard Time on November 6th. Believe the Nurse and me on this one - it's almost as annoying as seeing Xmas decorations at Costco in September. YIKES!

Walgreen's had Xmas stuff in August.

Double YIKES!

Does anyone actually listen to KFWhyEye on the weekend? Kinda hard to take Chiropractor Bob when Rosie & his boy carpenter are on KT'R. However, Nurse Jeff listens for Brian Whitfill's helpful tips on how to grow a winter lawn in front of the Buckeye Media Hut. (just wait 'til he sees the water bill  )

I am not even sure how to even tune in to what do you guys call "AM Radio"... hmmm someone must show me how to find these unique, historical stations ;-)

That AM switch is next to SW on grandaddy's radio. If you press AM, your IQ slips into double digits. Press SW and you will get an enlightened world view in many different languages. The Lord also rules big time over there too.

The week end is a throw away. The only reason they do the daylight savings time delay deal is because of Harry Young,( the morning guy,) they want to give him more time to play his laugh and applause tracks that he taped from the "I Love Lucy" show.

(The weekend is a throwaway) All the more reason why KOY (currently on 1230 AM) should return to AM 550. At least it would be a forum to demonstrate AM HD (good or bad).

Handel on the Law at 0500? Yuck. That's the only reason to listen to KFYI. But then again, I'm not a member of the Hitler Youth;)
