Next few days near the west coast!

I'm in El Cajon near San Diego... anything I should check for on my Tecsun PL-380? (It tunes from 64-108MHz, tuning knob is broken so I either have to manually scan or use the seek function.) I often can get a couple Santa Barbara FM stations fairly regularly from here, but what else should I look for?

I'd be looking for any FM or VHF TV channels from anyplace near that red area...mostly Baja Peninsula, but mmaaayyybbeee even look for something further away.

Hmm... I have no clue what to look for.... I'm getting 103.3 and 93.7 from Santa Barbara which can be heard here in El Cajon (east of San Diego) anyway... but no idea what to look for. It doesn't help that almost the entire dial is allocated within 100-150 miles of here. According to a Radio-Locator search of stations within 200 miles of here (not counting translators and boosters), the only unallocated frequency here is 90.5 ... pretty much EVERYTHING else is taken. A check of that frequency right now comes up empty.

Any ideas? I've never gotten E-skip before and would like to join the party. :) I'm using a Tecsun PL-380.

for a few mins on channel 2, It was booming in..going in & out for like 5 mins..

Why can I get anything on channel 3-6??

The only Ch. 6 I know of is down in Baja Cali XETV CW 6

I'm just waiting for that to happen

It's because the MUF (maximum usable frequency) is too low on the band, making a sharp cutoff.
